By identifying and responding to situations of structural injustice
and through its close links with marginalised people, Uniya seeks
to influence positive changes in government policies and practices.
To date Uniya has done significant work in the areas of Aboriginal
rights and culture and justice in the distribution of wealth in
Australia. It continues to critique government migration policy
and practice and seeks to influence public opinion in relation to
refugees and asylum seekers.
Uniya wishes to endorse policies which promote human rights and
effective action on behalf of the poor and marginalised.
