seekers in selected OECD countries
Please note that this project is no longer being updated
The above papers are designed to provide an overview of the legal
and social treatment of refugees and asylum seekers in selected
OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries.
Each document outlines the treatment of an asylum seeker from their
arrival at a land, air or sea border through the determination procedure,
including detention, accommodation, visa classes, social security
and other entitlements, appeals and deportation. Considering the
variety of information, it has been divided into a question and
answer format for ease of navigation and reading.
